Interesting that it happened before with the hulk movie and instead of being proactive and figuring out how to use it for their benefit like Prince did with his CDs, they chose to try to prevent it from occuring again.

Did I not just discuss this in class? If not, it was with my undergrads. The point is people want what they want and they want it now. With that in mind, teasing and promoting is dead. Telling and presenting is alive. Make the film accessible immediately for $1.99 download, put it out on DVD and short run on VHS (depending on the target audience), put it on the web through Netflix and every other means. Give people a chance to be honest.
ReplyDeleteI read that it was an unfiltered and unfinished copy that didnt have the correct sound effects that was used in the final copy. I have a friend who got a bootleg copy and i refused to watch it of course because I didnt want to ruin my May 1 expirience but he said you could see the ropes and strings on their backs during stunts and you could even see the green screen.
